Today, I decided to open up illustrator once again and attempted to do something. Anything. As i looked at the toolbar, everything seems pretty similar to photoshop – except they don’t do the same thing. *frowns*
so anyways, i settled on doing an icon for Team Exotica and after a couple of hours..
Evolution of the Icon
But my conclusion is.. Illustrator ain’t the most friendly design software for newbies..
TC and myself were invited to attend a Gastrogig Masterclass with Chef Will on a particular cheery Saturday morning. So we woke up bright and early and headed off to Palate Sensations @ Bouna Vista excited and all.
And indeed, an exciting and fruitful morning it was, looking at Chef Will recreate Asian street food into gastronomic art effortlessly.
Chef Will is very animated as he shares his stories with us

Prinstagr.ams are really nice. And cool. And different. It’s actually just printed instagrams. Well, I think it’s a pretty cool money making idea.
And! They do different kinds of prints – 2.5in square prints, 4in square prints, polaroid prints, posters, stickers, calendars etc. prinstagrams are available at $12 for 24-48 prints, almost the price of a 4R instant print.
It was a pleasant surprise that the prints arrived early. I ordered the prints last sat so I wasn’t expecting it to arrive so soon since shipping was expected to take 4-10 business days.
Anyhows, the printstagrams came nicely wrapped up in some bubble wrap via fedex.
I had ordered some 4inch square prints for christmas. Something different from the norm. The quality of the artcard used is really good. I love the fact that it comes in a matt finish. To be honest, I don’t know if its matt laminated or its just the material of the artcard. Well, that just means that the quality is that good. In any case, 4inch by 4inch cards are $12 for 24 prints (excluding a $10 shipping fee).
I’ll consider getting the calendar prints the next time round.
